Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 September 2026
This policy explains how Dream Job Move (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit dreamjobmove.com, make an enquiry or become a member. We are the controller of that information under UK data protection law.
Who we are
Dream Job Move is the trading name of [full legal name or company name, company number if applicable, and business address]. You can contact us, including about privacy matters, at hello@dreamjobmove.com.
Information we collect
When you submit our enquiry form, we collect:
- your first name, email address and WhatsApp or mobile number;
- your current or most recent role and years of professional experience; and
- the kind of role you want next and any notes you choose to add.
If you become a member, we may also collect:
- your CV, work and education history, skills, career goals, salary expectations and right-to-work information;
- the career stories and other material needed to prepare CVs, applications, outreach and interviews;
- records of roles, applications, recruiter or employer communications, interviews, feedback and our sessions with you; and
- billing, payment and contract records. Our payment provider processes your card details; we do not store your full payment-card details.
The site also processes limited technical information needed to operate securely. In particular, your IP address is held in temporary server memory for up to 10 minutes to limit repeated form submissions. Our hosting provider may also create standard security and request logs.
Please do not send health information, ethnicity, political or religious beliefs, trade-union membership, sexual-orientation information or other sensitive information unless we have agreed it is necessary. If we need to use this kind of information, we will explain the additional legal basis before doing so.
Where information comes from
Most information comes directly from you. To run your search, we may also use professional information that you have made public, information on job boards and employer websites, and information supplied by recruiters or prospective employers about your application.
How and why we use it
- to respond to your enquiry, assess fit and take steps you request before entering a contract;
- to onboard you and deliver the managed job-search, application and coaching services in your membership;
- to communicate with you, manage billing and keep contract and accounting records; and
- to secure, troubleshoot and improve the service.
We rely on steps taken at your request before a contract and performance of our contract with you for enquiries and membership delivery. We rely on our legitimate interests in answering genuine enquiries, assessing whether the service is suitable, keeping the service secure and improving our operations. We rely on legal obligations where we must keep tax, accounting or other records.
We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing messages unless you have separately chosen to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where needed with:
- recruiters, prospective employers, job boards and application platforms, when authorised as part of your search;
- service providers that support hosting, email, messaging, video calls, document storage and payments;
- a private, access-controlled Telegram group used by the Dream Job Move team to receive enquiry submissions; and
- professional advisers, regulators or public authorities where reasonably necessary or required by law.
The website is hosted by Vercel. Our providers act under their own privacy terms and, where they process information for us, under appropriate data-protection commitments.
International transfers
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where the destination is not covered by UK adequacy regulations, we use an approved transfer mechanism, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any additional safeguards required. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguards used for a particular provider.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry details are deleted within 12 months of your last contact if you do not join.
- Job-search working files and application records are normally deleted within 12 months after your membership ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner and we have no legal reason to retain them.
- Contracts, invoices and essential transaction records may be kept for up to six years after your membership ends for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
We may keep a record longer if a complaint, legal claim or regulatory requirement makes that necessary. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Cookies and analytics
The website does not currently set tracking or advertising cookies and no third-party analytics service is installed. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to or a copy of your information, correction, deletion, restriction or portability. You can also complain to us about how it is used.
Your right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to that use of your information. We will stop unless we have compelling lawful reasons to continue. You can object to direct marketing at any time.
To exercise a right, email hello@dreamjobmove.com. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Required information and automated decisions
The enquiry form identifies the fields needed for us to respond. You do not have to provide them, but without them we may not be able to consider your enquiry or deliver the service. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects using solely automated processing.
Children
The service is intended for people aged 18 or over and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. We will communicate significant changes to existing members directly where appropriate.
